6 New Things Happening In Poinciana For 2026 & 2027

Poinciana keeps growing, and the list of "what’s coming" changes fast. Here’s an honest update — what actually opened, what’s delayed, and what’s brand new since last year. As your local REALTOR®, I track this stuff because it directly affects home values and quality of life here.

1. AdventHealth Poinciana ER Is Open

The freestanding 16-bed emergency room off Pleasant Hill Road opened in October 2025 — Poinciana’s first true ER, not just an urgent care. It’s a 15,000-square-foot facility with 24/7 emergency services, CT/X-ray/ultrasound imaging, a full-service lab, and an on-site pharmacy. For a community that’s grown fast without matching healthcare infrastructure, this closed a real gap. If you’re evaluating neighborhoods and proximity to emergency care matters to you, this changes the math for southern Poinciana.

2. Sprouts Farmers Market Is Open — And a Second One Is Coming to the Area

Sprouts opened at 4730 Marigold Ave in Poinciana Lakes Plaza back in April 2025, bringing organic produce, bulk foods, and a full deli/bakery to a market that previously had to drive for that kind of grocery option. And as of September 2026, Sprouts has announced a second Central Florida location at Orange Blossom Trail and Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee — a sign of just how much confidence national retailers have in this corridor right now.

3. Poinciana Lakes Plaza Is Now a Real Dining and Retail Hub

This one’s fully delivered. What was "coming soon" in 2025 is now open: Outback Steakhouse, Bojangles, Panda Express, First Watch, and Jersey Mike’s are all serving residents, alongside Ross, TJ Maxx, Ulta, Five Below, Burlington, Petco, Crunch Fitness, TD Bank, and MD Now Urgent Care. Poinciana went from having almost no sit-down dining to having a genuine retail corridor in under two years. This is one of the biggest quality-of-life shifts for the area, full stop.

4. Street Feast Food Truck Park — Still In the Pipeline

This 6-acre, 40-food-truck "eatertainment" venue on Poinciana Blvd near Crescent Lakes Way was originally slated for a late 2025 opening. As of now, it hasn’t broken ground yet. The concept is still real — developer Aamir Waheed’s plans include a beer garden, arcade, splash park, and private cabanas — but there’s no confirmed new timeline. I’ll update this page the moment that changes. If you’ve heard site activity out there, I’d genuinely like to know.

5. Touchstar Luxury Cinemas — Also Still Coming

Poinciana’s first movie theater, planned for a 6-acre site on Doverplum Avenue near Walmart, was originally projected for a mid-2025 opening. Checking Touchstar’s own site, Poinciana still isn’t listed among their active locations. The project (leather recliners, in-theater dining, full bar) hasn’t been cancelled as far as I can find — just delayed. Worth watching, not worth planning your calendar around yet.

6. New: Sunray Junction West, Near the Poinciana SunRail Station

This is new territory I haven’t covered before. At the corner of Orange Blossom Trail and Poinciana Boulevard — right by the Poinciana SunRail stop — developer Chalifoux has a Tractor Supply Co. already open, with permits filed for a second phase: roughly 82,000 square feet across six buildings mixing retail, restaurants, and office space, plus about 70 rental units. HCA Florida is also under contract for a parcel there for a second freestanding ER and medical offices. If you’re weighing commute-friendly, transit-adjacent parts of Poinciana, this corridor is worth putting on your radar now, before it’s finished and priced accordingly.

Bottom line: Poinciana isn’t just growing — the growth is starting to show up as finished, usable amenities: an ER, a grocery anchor, a real dining strip. The stuff that’s still pending (Street Feast, Touchstar) will only add to that once it lands.
